About the Portland Gnome Tree Project: Inspiring imagination and fun for young explorers during the pandemic.

Welcome to Portland Gnome Trees !
(Feel free to read a brief history of the project in the About section of our website).
It has been an exciting experience working on this fun and imaginative activity for my daughter and other kids, that promotes exploration and interaction within the confines of our socially distant reality.
Although my daughter and I began creating the "Treasure Trees" in our local park, ultimately the concept of this project involves community participation, input, and evolution. The Gnome and Faerie Trees have long since been established throughout Portland and were the key inspiration behind the development of this project. Our goal is to continue to expand the content of the Portland Gnome Tree Map, adding to it the locations of the existing Gnome and Faerie Tree viewing sites, as well as the locations of new Viewing and Treasure Trees created by all of you.
We invite you now to explore, create, and share !
Resources and Information:
• The Portland Gnome Tree Project was initially introduced on the community website Nextdoor. Here is a link to the original Post:
• The current Gnome and Faerie Tree Map is accessible through this website, but the full version can also be found here:
• If you would like create your own Treasure Trees and would like to use the note template I created, you can download it here:
I encourage anyone whose is interested to contact us through our email or leave a comment. All information is welcome, however I'm also looking for:
• Detailed information, locations, and images of existing Portland Gnome and Faerie Trees (or displays) you own or know about, so that we can add them to the Map.
• Locations and images of new Viewing Sites or Treasure Trees you've created to be added to the Map.
• Share images of what you've discovered, treasures you've found, and or images of your explorers participating in the fun.
• I'd love to hear about your personal experiences, suggestions for improvement, and new ideas to help evolve the Project.
Thank you for your interest !
